Antigua famously has 365 beaches, but if you want to escape the cruise ship buses and resort chairs, here are the true tranquil gems:

1. Rendezvous Bay: Requires a 30-min hike from Falmouth or 4x4 drive. Completely untouched.
2. Deep Bay: Calm turquoise water with the Andes shipwreck sitting in the middle of the bay!
3. Half Moon Bay (far east end): Wild Atlantic waves in the middle, but the far left corner is sheltered like a natural swimming pool.
4. Galleon Beach: Best turtle snorkeling in the south.
5. Ffryes Beach: Powdery sand with incredible sunset views.

Respect the beaches: pack out whatever you pack in and protect our reefs!

Galleon Beach by the Pillars of Hercules is unbeatable for marine life. We see spotted eagle rays and green sea turtles there on almost every single snorkel.

And stop at the small local roadside coconut vendor by Valley Church on your way back for fresh coconut water with jelly!
